ImageLibby Woodward - Director
 Libby is our brand spanking new director.  Libby joins us from Nottingham where she served in Trent Vineyard Church.  At various points during this period, she took on the roles of youth work coordinator, assistant pastor and schools worker, working for a year as a covering RE teacher in one of the local secondary schools.  She moved to Chelmsford a few months ago after getting married to her husband Graham.  Libby is a keen skier and worships at St Mary's Church in Great Baddow
 
Glyn Harries - Senior Schools Worker
Glyn has been a fulltime schools worker with SYM since September 2006.  Having graduated in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education, Glyn spent some time as a freelance teacher, workshop leader and actor.  Since 2000 he has been a youth worker for the Salvation Army, assisting and leading various youth and young adult programmes on a local, regional and national level.  His current work for SYM includes teaching key stage 3 RE lessons as well as co-ordinating and managing SYM’s emerge programme.  Glyn attends the Salvation Army church in Chelmsford

Jo Morgan - Schools Worker
 Jo has been working with SYM since January 2008.  Qualifying as a mental health nurse in 1996, Jo spent a number of years delivering care for people with serious mental illnesses, drug/alcohol problems, eating disorders and issues with self harm.  In 2000, Jo became a Christian and now attends St Mary's Church in Great Baddow where she has served for a number of years as a youth worker.  In 2005, she established a thriving youth ministry named Crossfire and has recently set up a follow on programme entitled Crossfire2.  Jo is married to Andy with two children, Jacob and Daniel.
 
Lynsey Crisp - Administrator
Lynsey joined SYM in October 2007 having previously worked in the commercial sector as an operations manager.  A Christian since 2001, she is currently an active member of St Mary’s Church, Great Baddow, where she sings in a worship band and works with pre-school children.  Lynsey is married to Mark and is blessed with two young daughters.

Dr Gareth Sherwood
 Gareth is the youth pastor at Elim Church in Chelmsford.  He is a registered medical doctor with 8 years experience in hospital medicine.  He has also studied postgraduate ethics and has a keen interest in philosophy, theology and apologetics.  He has been an associate with SYM since 2005 teaching in schools across Chelmsford and specialising in GCSE, AS Level and A Level studies in RE, citizenship, general studies and philosophy.  Gareth is married to Sonja with two children, Jack and Naomi.
James Sparrow
James has been working with SYM since the start of the 2007 academic year and has already made a huge impact in schools with his testimony and teaching.  Until recently, James worked for Teen Challenge in London where he worked to rehabilitate those with drug addiction.

Kyle Scott
Kyle graduated in 2006 from the University of Cambridge with a degree in History and Philosophy of Science. He then spent a year working in Parliament as a Researcher. He is now back at University studying for an MA in Philosophy at King's College London. Kyle loves watching films and is engaged to be married to Chloe in Summer 2008.
James Bell
James has been invloved in youth work for 16 years since becoming a Christian.  He worked for 4 years in Hull, undertaking detached work with his local church and DART.  Throughout his ministry he has worked closely with kids who have been abusing solvents and drugs and has also ministered to the homeless.  He now lives in Chelmsford where he works as a youth pastor at Tile Kiln Church .  He has been married for 11 years to Rachel and has four children aged from 2 to 9 years old.

Lorna Chesney
Lorna is the deputy head teacher at The Endeavour School in Brentwood.  She has held previous teaching roles at Rainsford (now known as St Peter’s College) and Shenfield High School.  She is married with three sons and worships at Tile Kiln church in Chelmsford.  Lorna has been involved with SYM since 1987 and now chairs the board.
Peter Loose
Peter is an engineer and retired businessman.  Married to Faith for 42 years , he is the father of 4 children (all of whom were schooled in Chelmsford) and grandfather of 5.  He has lived in Chelmsford for 40 years.  Peter attends Elim church, is a trustee of CADEF and works tirelessly with Chelmsford Crusaders teenagers every week.  Peter is SYM’s treasurer.
Walter King
Walter is an Anglican priest.  He has been Vice Dean & Canon Pastor at Chelmsford Cathedral since 2001.  He is married to Pamela and has three grown up daughters.
Liz Harrison
Miss "Liz" Harrison has been a member of the SYM Management Board for more than five years.  She is a member of St Michael's Church, Galleywood and has many years teaching experience in Chelmsford schools progressing from Deputy Head of St Michaels and then to Head of Lawford Mead, Melbourne.  Liz is currently the Head of two schools in Colchester and continues to live and worship in Chelmsford.

Tony Leach
Tony is the newest member of our board.  A retired head teacher and educational consultant, Tony joined the SYM management board in February 2008.  Tony lives in Tunbridge Wells with his wife Nola.
