Yes we are eating cake again!!

Jo celebrated her birthday today and here she is with her birthday cake. As is traditional for a magpie, she got lots of sparkly things for her birthday so, next time you see her, she will be all blinged up! Have a great day chick, you don't look 40!!.

The Search is over!!!

Well the search is over. Having bored the team with her (frankly) rather over-ambitious requirements in the new boot department, Jo has finally located a pair that "would do". Not quite the right colour but some nice brown boot polish should sort that out, but very comfy (does that sound elderly - not sure but hey!!). The team were so overcome by her success that Glyn even sat and peeled the sticky lables of the bottoms for her - bless!! (she was still wearing them at the time which was a bit odd)

Our Director celebrates a Big '0' Birthday

Libby turned 30 on the 14th November - I know, it is hard to believe isn't it? Here she is blowing out the candles on her very pink cake - yes I know there aren't 30 candles but we have a very sensitive smoke alarm system here! She celebrated with a surprise girlie night out in Chelmsford (sorry Glyn) and a trip to the West End to see Billie Elliot with hubby Graham.

EVENT: Unite

Joint Event for Local Christian Unions

19th March 2008 (4.00pm-5.30pm)

Another half term, another Unite.  The fifth meeting of its kind will be exploring the cost of being a disciple alongside the price that Jesus paid for us.  It will hosted by the KEGS library in Broomfield Road on the 19th March.

Unite is specifically deisgned for Christian teenagers in Chelmsford, providing an opportunity to get together, worship, and establish a strong network of support for those seeking to lead Christ centred lives in their schools.

This term we will have Libby Woodard speaking to us.  Until recently, Libby was an assistant pastor at Trent Vineyard Church in Nottingham where she worked extensively with young people and within schools.  She is a speaker with great vision and we are really excited to have her with us.  We will also be having the Easter egg challenge as well as the increasingly popular 2nd Gear Track for all our guest speakers.  The meeting will be held in KEGS library on Wednesday 19th March between 4:30 and 5:30 (doors open at 4:00 – come early for free food and drink).

For more information or for some posters for your church/school please contact Glyn Harries on glynjh@symchelmsford.org
